Pacers Take Game 2???

Whats up everyone!
Alright you guys should have known I was going to blog immediately after this game 2 loss the Heat just suffered. So again I wonder why does Lebron always give the ball up in crunch time situations, and on top of that how did Wade and Lebron miss crucial free throws? Ok so the box score is the most interesting point (and the fact that the Heat didn't score one point after the 2:30 mark in the 4th quarter) I am going to talk about other than the fact that Lebron continuously shows me why Kobe is better...Lebron had 28 point and Wade had 24....where the heck is the rest of the team??? The next person was Battier and Chambers with 5 points each. If you look at the Pacers box score it is evenly divided, nobody on their team even scored 20 points, the highest was West with 16 points and oh not to mention 10 rebounds also. Not only that but the Heat were 1/16 behind the arc and those are missed opportunities which in my opinion you live by the three...you die by the three! Moving along I want to say this Danny Granger needs to stop trying to fight Lebron all the time, but at the same time Lebron has got to stand up for him self and stop shying away from that type of intensity. Fall back Granger at the end of the day to Lebron's defense you aren't better nor bigger than him! Oh so now I want to get on this Lebron passing up the second to last shot opportunity. Knowing what I know about basketball it looked like they had a 1-4 spread and that means there is one person at the top of the key which was Lebron. In that situation normally you are in an isolation situation where you can create a shot or take it to the rim. As always Lebron passed to Wade and Wade created a layup situation that he normally makes but it just didn't go in (and it didnt go in because he second guessed him self and switched from the left hand to using his right hand on the left side of the basket). I just feel like if that were Kobe in that situation he would have taken that opportunity and ran with it. But this isn't about Kobe so to Lebron's defense again I will say he still has to get to a point in which he is more confident in himself in crunch time situations. At the end of the day if I could tell him one thing it would be that people are gonna crucify you whether you take the last shot and miss it or if you pass the last shot just like you normally do. He has to accept that and keep it moving in my opinion. I didn't think I would say this but Bosh was really missed tonight...the Heat is lacking a post man to grab rebounds and clean up around the basket. Joel Anthony was like 0-5 and Udonnis Haslem  had 4 points and 4 rebounds which in my opinion he has been missing in action throughout the playoffs thus far. Someone else on the Heat has to step up but more importantly Wade and Lebron have to create more opportunities for their teammates too. Lastly can anyone explain to me why in the world does Coach Spo insist on not playing Juwan Howard and James Jones??? I always say Jones comes off the bench scoring its just he doesn't really get the opportunity and Howard is pretty productive on the boards of course not as effective as Bosh but he has potential. Ohhh and finally Frank Vogel is really getting under my skin like Mark Cuban always does. Everyone knew I was gonna get on him about his pre series rant. Quit smiling it ain't over buddy. That's all I'm going to say. It ain't over Frank by a long shot! Next game I will step out and say you best believe that it is on and the Heat will come out better prepared and they will get the game 3 victory. As always I will leave off with a little bit of advice and I guess tonight's will be never give up, you never know what blessing is just around the corner for you! Until next time!

Wrapping up Round 1 of the NBA Playoffs

As the first round comes to an end its time to start thinking about the different matchups to come in the second round, of course not until the two first round game 7's are out of the way. But first I want to start off this blog with saying LeBron was crowned as MVP of the league for the third time in the last four years. Do I agree with him being crowned MVP again...um probably not (even though I am a Heat fan). I felt as though Kevin Durrant throughout alot of the season was overshadowed by his at times overly ambitious point guard Russell Westbrook. But hey I was watching ESPN last night and an interesting fact that came up by Chris Brussard was that some of the other players (Wilt Chamberlin and Moses Malone) got their first championship after winning their third MVP. So we will certainly see what Lebron does throughout the duration of the playoffs. But CONSISTENCY IS THE KEY. Now on to what I said the other night. Of course everyone witnessed me say the game of Thursday night would be the Lake Show/Nuggets and wow is all I can say. That was a complete BUST! It was a blow out from the time I sat down after getting off work until the time I went to bed because of course I had to go to work at 6 am the next morning. The ending score of that game was 96-113 Nuggets, again I will say from the time I sat down to watch until the time I fell asleep, the Nuggets pushed the ball in transition and more importantly they out hustled the Lakers. Oh and not to mention Ty Lawson was a major burst of energy with his 32 point night and you know I am going to throw it in there that Kobe was dealing with a stomach bug. BUT....and I do mean BUT....Ron Artest more commonly known as Metta World Peace  will be welcomed back with open arms at Staples Arena for game 7. That is the big factor in this final game of their first round series. I wont get into all the statistics but I will say this in game 7's the Lakers have won 10 straight at home. That is a major key to remember and as always homecourt advantage could really dictate the momentum down the stretch. So I will go on the record and say, my pick to win is the Lakers but more importantly the big men have to show up this game Jordan Hill, Andrew Bynum, and of course Pau Gasol. Maybe Gasol should watch is brother Marc and see how its done! That man can play that post for the Grizzles! I just had to throw that in there. But we will first see how this game turns out tonight and in my next blog I will begin talking about the wonderful matchups of the second round! There will be some very exciting matchups to come and everyone knows I love great yet intense basketball. So I will be blogging again after the Lakers/Nuggets game 7 tonight on ESPN at 10:30 ET. Make sure you watch it!!! As always I will leave you all with a little bit of advice..."Don't live your life according to what everyone else says or thinks is right; live your life according to your hopes, dreams, and aspirations. No one else can march to the beat of your drum (your heart). Only you can." I cant wait to see the game tonight, oh and I have to say the first game of the second round is tonight as the Celtics will take on the rejuvenated 76'ers. Be sure to tune into both starting at 8 pm on ESPN. Talk with you later!!

Catching up and the NBA Playoffs!

I'M BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh my gosh it has been incrediblely too long since I posted a blog! So there is so much to say. Of course my job at home depot has such crazy hours so alot of times I am asleep whenever I am not working but now they have cut my hours which I'm going to think of in a positive way, that means I can write and work on my portfolio so I can get out of this place. So what's new with me you ask?? oooh first of all I just want to say CONGRATS TO THE CLASS OF 2012...DON'T LISTEN TO ALL THE NEGATIVITY THAT COMES WITH GRADUATION. IF YOU PUT YOUR MIND TO IT AND BELIEVE IN JESUS CHRIST, HE WILL HAVE YOUR BACK AND WHAT IS MEANT FOR YOU, YOU WILL HAVE IT! ALWAYS REMEMBER THAT:-)
Now I will talk about my FAVORITE time of the year...yes the NBA PLAYOFFS! Thus far we have the Heat (one of my faves other than the Lake Show), the Thunder, the Pacers, and the Spurs going to the second round. Tonight Rondo and the fierce Celtics will try to close out the Hawks in Boston, the Rose-less Bulls will attempt to stay alive in hopes of forcing a game seven on their home court against the 76ers, and of course Kobe, despite a dominant 43-point game five loss, will pull out his best to lead the Lake Show past the Nuggets in the mile-high city tonight. If I had to pick a spotlight game it would definitely be the Lakers vs. Nuggets. Although I would love to see the Hawks go home empty handed thanks to the Celtics, and it will be interesting to see if the Bulls can escape elimination by the 76ers without their hero Derrick Rose, I will have to still say the Lakers/Nuggets game will be the most attention-grabbing game 6 to watch tonight. Of course the Lakers should feel upset yet fueled after their 102-99 game 5 loss, because now instead of preparing to face the scorching hot Thunder in the second round of the playoffs, they have to return to the mile-high city and fight to move past the determined Nuggets. JaVale McGee has really shown up during this playoff series. I don't watch alot of Nuggets basketball during the regular season but to see him and the Nuggets play right now, I must say I am impressed. They have heart! I also think in that series youth plays a huge and major role down the stretch. Key players like Ty Lawson, Aaron Afflalo, Danilo Gallinari, and of course JaVale McGee really have made this matchup worth watching. Although I love the Lake Show I will take the younger more rejuvenated Denver Nuggets over the Lakers in a close yet electrifying affair tonight! Be sure to tune in at 10:30pm on TNT. Be sure to read my blog tomorrow because I plan to talk and discuss all the games tonight and their results (oh and give my personal opinions). As always it was great getting a chance to sit town and write for you today! I look forward to writing and chatting much more! My quote for today is, "find a job you love and you will NEVER work a day in your life." And I must say I love to write and work on anything media related:-)
Until Next Time....
